Pakistani Snacks

Oh, Snack!

All you need to know about the street snacks of Pakistan

Street food is irrevocably the only way to truly feel connected to the spirit of a city or country. A country’s cuisine may be an excellent depiction of its overall culture, but street food, in particular, reflects the very nitty-gritty of it all – be it the teekhay (translation: spicy) chaats of Lahore Walled City, or the soul-warming bone broths of Haripur, it embodies our values and beliefs like no other!

Health benefits of tropical fruit

A trip to Thailand & Malaysia is not complete without indulging in culinary adventures as well as tasting some exotic tropical fruits. The warm and humid weather is ideal for large varieties of tropical and citrus fruit that are not found in many places in the world.

eggplant dishes

The love of eggplant dishes has taken me across borders and I am surprised, how eggplant has fitted so well in almost all cuisine across the world.

Malaysian Food Journey

I have travelled extensively across Malaysia. Kuala Lumpur to Melaka is an ideal day trip. Starting the day trip early in the morning is not a great idea, therefore, stopping over at Nasi Kandar restaurants from across the road from where I was staying (at Furama Hotel)  in Bukit Bintang was a great idea.

Kuala Terengganu is an old historical town rich in the history and tradition of early Muslim settlers in the region. I travelled to Kuala Terengganu in late 2019. I explored most of Kuala Terengganu in a period of a week and enjoyed a wide variety of local cuisine. Here is my take on some interesting foodie encounters in this amazing part of Malaysia.

best malay food

I have travelled extensively across Malaysia over the period of the last twenty years and visited some of the best cities popular for food. I came across Nyonya food also known as Peranakan food which is quite a popular form of cooking in Penang as well as in Melaka. Nyonya food captures the essence of the rich culinary history of Malaysia.
