Ingredients for Butter Chicken Recipe(For Marination):
- 1 kg boneless chicken (cut into small pieces)
- 1/2 tbsp red chili powder
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp garlic-ginger paste
How to prepare Butter Chicken Curry:
- 1/2 cup oil
- 2 diced onions
- 5 tomatoes
- 3 tbsp of butter
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1/2 tbsp red chili powder
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tbsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp garlic-ginger paste
- 10 tbsp of butter
- 100 gram thickened cream
Butter Chicken Curry Preparation Method:
01Add all the marination ingredients to the chicken, mix well and leave it for 30 minutes.
02In a separate pan/pot add 1/2 cup of oil and cook the chicken for 15-20 minutes.
03For the curry, firstly fry the onions in a pan for a few minutes. Add tomatoes, butter, salt, red chili powder, sugar and black pepper.
04Cover the pan with a lid and cook for 5-10 minutes. Once it starts to form a curry, add the ginger-garlic paste and cook for a few more minutes.
05Your curry masala is ready, cool it off and grind it inside a food processor or a blender. Once it's ground, sieve your curry masala back into the pan.
06While keeping the pan on medium flame, add butter and give it a good mix. After that add the thickened cream and mix well. Cook for 5 minutes.
07You can now add the previously cooked chicken to the curry masala. Keep stirring for 5-10 minutes. Your delicious butter chicken is ready. You can either enjoy it with rice or naan!
